Description
The EMEP/EEA air pollutant emission inventory guidebook provides guidance on estimating emissions from both anthropogenic and natural emission sources. It is designed to facilitate reporting of emission inventories by countries to the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution and the EU National Emission Ceilings Directive. It is an essential tool allowing the compilation of comparable and consistent air pollutant emissions inventory data in Europe. Access to high quality air pollutant emissions data is a key element in supporting sound policy-making. It helps to better shape and define environmental priorities, improve air quality modelling, assess compliance with national and international targets and assess the effectiveness of policy interventions in protecting human health and the environment.
